The method used in this research is the method of school action research through 2 cycles. Subjects in this study were teachers who taught at SD Negeri 065012 Medan Tuntungan with a total of 12 teachers. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation studies. The results showed: (1). There is an increase in the number of teachers who apply contextual learning strategies from 12 teachers, only 7 teachers (52.17%) apply SPK in cycle I, then increase in cycle II to 20 teachers (86.96%) who have been able to apply contextual learning strategies. in the learning process in the classroom; (2) Teacher's professional competence in implementing contextual learning strategies can increase through workshop. Keyword: contextual, workshop Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kontextual melalui workshop di SD Negeri 065012 Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan sekolah melalui 2 siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru yang mengajar di SD Negeri 065012 Medan Tuntungan dengan jumlah 12 orang guru. Teknik pemgumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1). Terdapat peningkatan jumlah guru yang menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kontextual dari 12 orang guru, baru 7 guru (52,17%) menerapkan SPK pada siklus I, kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 20 guru (86,96%) yang sudah mampu menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kontextual pada proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas; (2) Kompetensi profesional guru dalam menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkat melalui workshop.
