- Taka Bonerate National Park as the one of Marine National Park in Indonesia is one of the biodiversity resources. The potency and the spread of two kinds of commodities in Taka Bonerate National Park i.e. kima lubang and malaja fish, the overconsumption by people around the park should be evaluated as is presumed to exceed their stock. exceed their stock.The research aimed to study the ethnoecology of the people around Taka Bonerate National Park in consuming kima lubang (Tridagna crocea) and malaja fish (Siganus canaliculatus) The data was collected through interview, observation, and literature study. The qualitatively descriptive analysis was aplied. The results showed that the consumption of kima lubang by the people around Taka Bonerate National Park was based on subsistence fishing, while malaja fish was based on commercial fishing due to the market demand, both fresh and salted fish.
