  • DIAN ISMAWATI. The Influence of Reference Group and Lifestyle on Consumptive Behavior of Accounting Major in SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta: Study Program of Economic Education, Concentration in Accounting Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2020. This study aims to determine the Influence between Reference Group and Lifestyle on Consumptive Behavior, the study was conducted at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. The method used in this research is a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study are student of X and XI Accounting and Financial Institution Class in SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta, amounted to 144 students. The sample used was 108 people using proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used to obtain data on variables X1 (Reference Group), X2 (Lifestyle) and Y (Consumptive Behavior) variables were measured using a Likert scale. The results of the study concluded that partially (th1: 3,777 and th2: 6,319) each was higher than t table 1.659, it means that the Ho hypothesis is rejected. While the results of the F test Fcount (42,594) > Ftable (3,08), it can be concluded that reference group and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on consumptive behaviour of Accounting Major in SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. Obtained the value of multiple correlation coefficient of 0.669 and the coefficient of determination is known to be 44,8%. The conclusion that researchers can draw is that reference groups and lifestyles are factors that influence consumer behavior. Therefore, in order to reduce consumer behavior students need to choose the right and positive social groups and it takes the role of the environment especially families and teachers teaching students to live in simplicity and control the lifestyle so as not to overdo it. Students also need to be educational about the importance of managing finances wisely. Keywords: Reference Group, Lifestyle, Consumptive Behavior
