- ABSTRACT BELINDA. 8115078365. Correlation Between Social Adjustment With The Stress of Students SMA International Islamic Boarding School at Cikarang. Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economics Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, 2012. The purpose of this research is to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to know more the correlation between social adjustment with the stress of students SMA International Islamic Boarding School, Cikarang. The research healed at SMA International Islamic Boarding School, Cikarang for two months since November until December 2011. The method of research is survey method with correlation approach, and the data is got from instrument to student at SMA International Islamic Boarding School, Cikarang. The population research was all of students with total 107 student, with 78 student’s for sampling and used proportional random sampling. Collecting X variable data (Social Adjustment) and Y variable data (Stress), using likert scale model questionaire, before that it has empirical validity test by validation process, that is correlation coefficient valuing score with the total score and reliability test using Alpha Cronbach formula. Reliability X variable (Social Adjustment) is 0,789 and Y variable ( Stress) 0,844. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Y = 84,27 – 0,317X. After that data normally test by using Liliefors formula and the result is L = 0,074 in significant level 0,05 and L table = 0,1003, so L count < L . It mean that the mistake of prediction regression Y to X has normal distribution. For regression significance test and the result is F count (4,35) > F table table (3,98). Showing that, it has significance regression. While regression linearity test, F count (0,93) < F (1,84), showing that regression is linear. The result of product moment of correlation coefficient test, is r table = -0,233 continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t-test. Counting result, -t count = -2,09 while –t table = -1,67 and so, -t count < -t . It means that there are significance correlations between social adjustment with the stress of students. Besides that, the result of determination coefficient test is 5,42%, it means that stress variable determined by 5,42% social adjustment variable. The conclusion of the research have shown that there is a correlation between social adjustment with the stress of students SMA International Islamic Boarding School.
