This scientific work aims to know the system of governance of archives in the General and Protocol section of the city mayor's office of East Jakarta Administration. The method used in this study is a descriptive analysis, with the method of collecting data on the observation and decision studies. From this analysis can be concluded that maintaining good and correct archives can help ease the work of the archive manager to make the work more effective and efficient. So during the management of archives also still many obstacles and obstacles that should be handled and in the solution for it’s handling. In order to manage good and correct archives can be applied by all the companies and precisely by all the archives management officers. Keywords: Handling Archives
