  • ESTHER DANELLA, 8105151601, The Influence Of Learning Motivation and Peer Environment On The Interest Of Continuing Education To Higher Education In Student of Class XII SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta: Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, 2019. This study aims to determine (1) the effect of learning motivation on interest in continuing education to college, (2) the influence of peer environment on interest in continuing education to college, (3) the influence of learning motivation and peer environment together on interest in continuing education to tertiary institutions, in class XII students of SMKN 40 Jakarta. This research is an ex-post facto research. With a population in all students of class XII SMKN 40 Jakarta totaling 178 students and a sample of 119 students was taken with a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is a simple regression analysis technique for the first and second hypotheses and multiple regression analysis for the third hypothesis. The results showed that; (1) Learning Motivation has a significant positive effect on interest in continuing to college, which is indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.489 and a tcount of 4.615> t table 1.98. (2) Peer environment has a positive and significant effect on interest in continuing to college, which is indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.304 and a tcount of 2.8455> ttable 1.98, (3) and Learning Motivation and Peer Environments together -same also affect the interest in continuing to college, which is indicated by Rhitung> Rtable, 0.607> 0.180, with a coefficient of determination of 36.8%, while 63.2% is influenced by other factors such as those contained in the journal Lystia and Kusmuriyanto, learning achievement influential by 9.9%, the socioeconomic condition of parents by 19.8%, social environment by 7.5%, while in the journals studied by Wahyu Rama Pradipta the attention of parents influences by 3.53%, and finally in the journal researched by Ilham Budisantoso, parental education also affected 3.53% of the interest in continuing education to tertiary institutions The conclusion of this study is that learning motivation and peer environment influence study interest in higher education. This is seen from the results of the study that the two variables X have a positive and significant effect on the Y variable, and this is also supported by previous studies which show the same results where motivation to learn and peer environment influence the interest in continuing education to college.
