- The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Altman model and Ohlson model on Financial Distress in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2014-2016. In this study also proves the feasibility of financial distress prediction models if used in Indonesia. In the Altman model the ratio used is WCTA, RETA, EBITTA, MVOETL, and STA. In Ohlson model the ratio used is firm size, TLTA, WCTA, CACL, OENEG, NITA, FUTL, INTWO, and CHIN. While the dependent variable is Financial Distress which is a dummy variable with the category of troubled companies and the company is not problematic. The criteria of Financial Distress used in this study are companies that have negative Earning Per Share (EPS). The sample used in this research is 97 manufacturing companies listed in IDX period 2014-2016. The method of analysis used is logistic regression analysis (logit). The results show that the Altman model has a significant effect and partially there was an EBITTA ratio that negatively affected Financial Distress. The Ohlson model has a significant effect and partially there was an NITA ratios which negatively affect Financial Distress. The results of this study also show that the Altman model is a better model compared to the Ohlson model.
