  • Siti Salimatussa'diah. Effect of Student Parents' Income and Lifestyle to Consumtive Behavior of Economics Student of Jakarta State University. May 2018. This research was conducted on Economics Student of State University of Jakarta since January 30, 2018 until April 28, 2018. The method used in this research is quantitative approach method, survey method and using path analysis or path analysis. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of parents' income and lifestyle of students on consumptive behavior in the economic education students of the State University of Jakarta. The type of data used is primary data. The study population is all students of UNJ economic education program of force 2014-2016. The sampling technique of this research is by Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling method with a sample of 82 students. Data analysis in this research is done by using path analysis (path analysis). Path analysis is used to determine the magnitude of influence of a variable on other variables, either direct or indirect influence. The coefficient of determination obtained by 66.4% variation of consumer behavior as dependent variable is determined by the income of parents and lifestyle as variable independent while 35.5% variation of consumptive behavior is determined by other factors. The calculation result concluded that there is influence of parent's income and lifestyle to consumptive behavior at student of economic education of State University of Jakarta.
