  • ABSTRACT Althea Nabila, 2013; Influence of Work Environment and Personality Traits on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: Case Study of Firefighter at East Jakarta Fire Station. Undergraduate Thesis, Jakarta: Concentration in Human Resource Management, Management Study Program, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. The purpose of this study are: 1) To know the descriptionofwork environment, years of experience, personality traits, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) of firefighter at East Jakarta Fire Station. 2) To know the influence of work environment which had been controlled by years of experienceonPTSD3) To know the influence of personality traits which had been controlled by years of experienceonPTSD. 4) To know the influence of work environment and personality traits simultaneously which had been controlled by years of experience on PTSD 5) To know if years of experience as controlled variable can strengthen determination analysis value (R 2 ).. The analysis conducted in multiple linear regression. Research carried out by the method of simple random sampling of 74 volunteered firefighters while the techniques of data collection was done by distributing questionnaires and the data being processed using SPSS 21.00. The regression shows that there is influence between work environment which had been controlled by years of experience towards PTSD and there is influence between personality traits which had been controlled by years of experience towards PTSD. Work environment and personality traits which had been controlled by years of experience simultaneously influence PTSD through Fcount> Ftable (15,876 > 2,74) with significance value (0,000 < 0,05) This research has figured out the score of work environment and personality traitsinfluence on PTSD is 0,405 or 40,5% through the result of R2 value while the rest is 59,5% is influenced by the other factors.
