This study aims to describe the personal competences of employees of micro and small businesses, employee performance, and examine the influence of personal competencies to the performance of employees in small and micro businesses in the Industrial Zone Sentra Chips Bandar Lampung. The study was conducted using a census method with simple regression approach. The data used are the primary data link approach to correlation between independent variables (personal kompetesnsi) and the dependent variable (employees performance). Analysis tool generates a hypothesis test, with the formula of Pearson Product Moment correlation which produces rhitung = 0.652, further keberartian Product Moment correlation test using t test, produced a TTable tcount = 5.952 and = 1.68. Calculation results concluded there is a positive relationship between personal competence and performance of employees in micro and small enterprises in the industrial centers of chips Bandar Lampung. With a decisive test of the coefficient of determination or results obtained 42.46% of the variation employee performance (variable Y) is determined by the personal competence (variable X) which is owned by the employee. The study found a positive relationship between the Personal Competence on Employee Performance on small businesses in the Industrial Zone Sentra Chips Bandar Lampung. This means the higher the personal competencies possessed by the employee, the higher the performance of their employees. And vice versa, the lower the personal competencies possessed by the employee, the lower the performance of their employees as well. Key Word : Personal Competence, Employee Performance
