This paper aims to know a good and proper reducing expired archive process according to the procedures of reducing expired archive at Debt Foreign Analysis and Investor Relation Division section Investor Relations Unit of Bank Indonesia. The method that used in this study is descriptive analysis by collecting data through observation and literature. There are also obstacles and problems that have to be faced by Bank Indonesia in Jakarta Head Office, Debt Foreign Analysis and Investor Relation Division section Investor Relations Unit which are improper reducing expired archive process, difficulties in finding archive, inefficient time in finding the required files, and lack of understanding on filing system particularly about reducing expired archive. According to the proper depreciation archive procedure, there are several processes that must be followed, namely: archive assessment, archive transfer, retention schedules, archive submission, and liquidation archive. The result of this paper shows that a good and proper reducing expired archive process is important for the company. Keywords: Filing Systems, Procedures of Reducing Expired Archive.
