This study aims to obtain valid and reliable data on whether socioeconomic status of parents with the motivation to contiune to college. Data was collected using a survey on 65 students at the Vocational High School 46 in East Jakarta Accounting Department with simple random sampling technique. The survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to a sample that has been determined. Score motivation to continue to college obtained by administering a questionnaire with Likert type scale. As for the socio-economic status of parents using a questionnaire with a scale interval. Regression equation in this study is Ŷ = 82,72 + 0,39 X. From these equations, test requirements normality test analysis with error estimates of regression Y on X with the test obtained Liliefors Lo < Lt (0.1006 < 0.1099). That means that the data are normally distributed. In the regression linearity test results obtained Fh < Ft (1.69 < 2:05), which can be concluded that the linear form of the regression model. As for the significance test obtained Fh > Ft (12.04 > 3.99) which indicates that the regression equation was significant. Correlation coefficient test results by using the Pearson product moment values obtained rxy = 0.40. This means there is a positive relationship between socioeconomic status parents with the motivation to continue to college in accounting class XII SMK 46 Jakarta. Of test calculations – t, t count > t table, 3.48 > 1.671 which indicates a significant relationship between the variable X socioeconomic status of parents with a variable Y that motivation to continue to college. From the calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained 16.16% so it can be said that the variable Y motivation to continue to college is determined by the X variable socioeconomic status of parents by 16.16%.
