  • ABSTRACT DIAN HARIASTIKA. The Influence of Regional Minimum Wage Toward Labour Absorption and The Impact to Income Disparity of Industry Sector In Indonesia. Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta. 2013. This research conducted to describe regional minimum wage, labour absorption in industry sector, income disparity of industry sector, and than examine regional minimum wage toward labour absorption and the impact to income disparity of industry sector in Indonesia. This research used removal data technique with panel data method. Every data is taken from BPS in period 2009 until 2010, so there’re 58 analysis data totally. The disparity value in gini coefficient is increase year to year. This indication is an important information in this research. The used data are real minimum wage province per month, population 15 years of age and over who worked during the previous week bu province and main industry, and the income disparity value which is gotten by Entropy Theil Indeks. The income disparity data are resulted by input the GDRP industry sector data per regency, total of GDRP industry sector data per province, labour force of industry sector data per regency,and total of labour force from industry sector data per province. The analysis result shows that regional minimum wage (X variable) has the influence toward labour absorption (Y variable) and this labour absorption of industry sector has the influence toward income disparity (Z variable) in Indonesia. With the regression model Y = 3.946.542,979 – 4,998X and _ = 0,389 + 0,0000001605Y, can be interpreted that there’s a negative influence of regional minimum wage toward labour absorption, and there’s a positive influence of labour absorption toward income disparity. The product moment correlation result shows that regional minimum wage influence labour absorption which obtained 32,43% significantly, and labour absorption influence income disparity which obtained 25,78% significantly.
