Lecturer Advisor Dr. Siti Nurjanah, SE, M.Si dan Dicky Iranto, SE, M.Si This research is aimed to analyze the influence of rate inflation and the minimum wage toward open unemployment in Indonesia. The data used in this research are the secondary data which is time series type of data in the year of 2008-2013 and cross section as many as 33 provinces in Indonesia, which produces 198 observations, source from BPS. The method of this research is expose facto. The technique of data analysis in this research is the multiple regression analysis. Based on multiple regressions using Eviews 6,0 software, the output has indicated the rate inflation (X1) is positively and not significantly affected to the open unemployment (Y) in Indonesia. While, the minimum wage (X2) is negatively and significantly affected to the open unemployment (Y) in Indonesia. Based on the test with respect to F significant value = 0,000000 <0,05, it is can be concluded that the rate inflation and the minimum wage as togetherness is significantly affected on a = 5% against to the open unemployment in Indonesia. Determination coefficient value that obtained is 0.907474, it means that the changes of the open unemployment be explained by the rate inflation and the minimum wage as amount 90,74 %. While, the rest could be explained by others factor that can not be mentioned in this research model. Keywords : open unemployment, rate inflation and minimum wage
