Faculty of Economics, University of Jakarta. 2016 This study aimed to obtain information and knowledge based on data and facts from the effect of the number of members and the capital itself on the performance of cooperatives in the province of Jambi. The method used is in the form of time series and cross section for 2009-2014 number 11 districts / cities in Jambi province, with Merode ex post facto. These data are presented annually obtained from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises. This study uses panel data regression model results obtained similarities random effect LnVos = 2.476567 + 1.156620 LnJA + 0.512490 LnMDS. Based on the analysis simultaneously, the number of members and own capital significantly influence the performance of co-operatives in the province of Jambi. Based on the partial results of the analysis, the number of positive and significant impact on the performance of cooperatives, and the capital itself positive and significant impact on the performance of cooperatives. Variations influence of two independent variables can be determined based on the R2 with value 0,45. So 45% of the variation cooperative performance is influenced by the number of members and its own capital and the rest influenced by other factors outside the research methods.
