  • ABSTRACT INDAH RAHMAYANI. The Influence of Self Esteem and Locus of Control Toward The Job Satisfaction on Employee PT Pos Indonesia Bekasi. Thesis, Jakarta: Concentrations of Education Administration Office, Educational Studies Program in Economic, Depatment of Economic and Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta. 2012. This study aims to determine The Influence of Self Esteem and Locus of Control Toward The Job Satisfaction At PT Pos Indonesia Bekasi. This research as conducted over two months from September to October 2011. The research method used is survey method through causality approach. The study population is an employee of PT Pos Indonesia Jakarta. The sampling technique is simple random proportional technique (proportional random sampling) as many as 72 samples. The instrument used to obtain data variables X (Self Esteem), and the variable Y (Job Satisfaction) was measured using a Likert scale, while for the variable X 21 (Locus of Control) using Internal-External Locus of Control Scale 0-1 from Rotter. The data processing is using SPSS 19.0. From the result of F test, found that Self Esteem and Locus of Control simultaneously influence to Job Satisfaction seen from F count (119,923) > F (3,130). Then partially, Self Esteem has t count (4,900) > t table table (1,667). That means that Self Esteem has a significant positive effect to Job Satisfaction. Locus of Control has t count (-3,414) < -t (1,667). That means that Locus of Control has a significant negative effect to Job Satisfaction. Beside that, the result of R 2 equal to 0,777 which means that Self Esteem and Locus of Control can be explained Job Satisfaction equal 77,7% and 22,3% explain explained with another variables.
