  • This study aims to determine the condition of internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) and business development strategies in industrial cassava chips Pundi Mas. The research was conducted in October until December 2014. There were 6 respondents were interviewed with purposive sampling. The analysis used in this study is a SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis of SWOT matrix IFAS and EFAS are some business development strategies that can be applied to industrial Pundi Mas namely (a) the promotion strategy cassava chips industry Pundi Mas is less implement and utilize promotional activities either through print media, brochures, advertising and internet (b) Availability of labor Pundi Mas less survive in this industry there are only a few workers who survived that leaders need to increase the motivation and productivity of its workforce (c) The development of this technology should be contemplated and implemented Pundi Mas industry because the industry itself is currently not thought to replace the more modern tools or add to existing technologies and business conditions in the industry cassava chips Pundi Mas currently in Quadrant I, namely SO strategy where businesses can create internal strategies like the taste of diverse products, affordable prices, availability of raw materials to take advantage of external opportunities strategies such as the development of promotional media, technology development, and support of private television stations.
