  • This study aimed to determine the marketing mix strategy of hybrid corn farming in Sidera village, Sigi Biromaru sub district, Sigi district. This research was conducted from February to April 2018. The respondents of 31 hybrid corn farmers were selected by a simple random method. Data were analyzed using a SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis of internal and external factors determined showed that the hybrid corn farming in Sidera village, Sigi Biromaru sub district of Sigi district was in quadrant 1 which is profitable resulting in a SWOT matrix with the following alternative strategies of marketing mix: (1) strengthening the market network of agricultural products; (2) creating policies in order to increase the diversification of production and food; (3) improving agricultural infrastructure such as road development and rehabilitation to make the farming more accessible, etc.; (4) developing hybrid corn industry facilities; (5) expanding market accessibility for more profit during harvesting; (6) implementing information technology system through extension workers; (7) implementing pro-farmer price subsidy policies; and (8) creating extension program on information technology system to assist marketing processes.
