- Poultry manure is an organic fertilizer containing nitrogen 1 – 3.13%. This manure can improve both soil chemical and physical characteristics. This research was conducted to determine the effect of chicken manure on nitrogen uptake (N) of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) grown in Lembah Palu Entisol. This research was arranged in a Randomized Block Design consisted of seven manure rates: control (without chicken manure), 5 Mg/ha, 10 Mg/ha, 15 Mg/ ha, 20 Mg/ha, 25 Mg/ha, and 30 Mg/ha. Each treatment had three replicates, thus, there were 21 experimental units.
