- This research is conducted in order to analysis the illocutionary and perlocutionary act show up in the interview conducted by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as the interviewee, and also Jess Cagle and Sandra Sobieraj Westfall as the interviewers. Besides, the researcher also analyses the impact that comes to the Obamas according the interviewers’ point of view. The researcher analyses every illocutionary act whether it is including on representative, expressive, commisive, directive, or declarations act. In addition, the researcher concludes all of the utterances spoken by the Obamas which is able to reveal the effect of the utterances. Key Words : utterances, speaker, hearer, sentence. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam rangka untuk menganalisis tindakan ilokusi dan perlokusi yang muncul dalam wawancara yang dilakukan oleh Barack Obama dan Michelle Obama sebagai orang yang diwawancarai, dan juga Jess Cagle and Sandra Sobieraj Westfall sebagai pewawancara. Selain itu, peneliti juga menganalisis dampak yang terjadi pada Obama berdasarkan sudut pandang pewawancara. Peneliti menganalisis setiap tindakan ilokusi apakah itu termasuk pada tindakan perwakilan, ekspresif, komisif, diretif, atau deklariasi. Selain itu, peneliti menyimpulkan semua ujaran yang diucapkan oleh Keluarga Obama yang mampu mengungkapkan pengaruh ucapan-ucapan itu. Key Words : ujaran, penutur, pentutur, kalimat
