- This term paper discusses the influencer of social class to the use of swear words in Nicki Minaj’s rap songs. More specifically, the study analyzed the swear words in Nicki Minaj’s rap song using language variety and style, and as well as the definition and classification of the swear word in Nicki Minaj's rap songs style register and social class from the sociolinguistic study. For the specific theory, the writer use sociolinguistic theories are social class, language variety, style, and register. This study is the qualitative range of research, types of linguistic research that analyze with the method of data collection in the form of education, environment, and income background of Nicki Minaj as the primary source and supported by some linguistic sources related to the concept and theories.
