  • This experiment was aimed to observe the growth and yield of Scallion which was grown at different depth. It was conducted for 3 months at Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology’s green house. The research was designed randomized completely and consisted of 4 growing depth treatments (2.5 cm, 5 cm, 7.5 cm and 10 cm) in 6 replicates. The results indicated that growing depth significantly affected leaves number at 6 week, stem length, length and weight of white stem, as well as root length. Moreover, the deeper plant grown, the better plant growth and yield which can be seen from longer length, more white stem’s weigth, and smaller stem diameter. Growing depth at 5 cm gave the best results in leaves number (7), plant length (76.33 cm), fresh weight (53.29 g), and stem weight (17.62 g), while 10 cm growing depth performed the best results in stem length (16.67 cm), white stem length (6.52 cm), and white stem weight (6.18 g).
