  • This study aims to develop a learning model that can enhance children's cognitive and socio-emotional abilities. The study was conducted in Kindergarten Islam Fithria South Jakarta with the research subjects' are teachers and children in group B in the academic year 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. The research method refers to the Steps of System Approach Models of Educational Research and Development by Borg and Gall consisting of 9 stages, namely: identify instruction goals, conduct instructional analysis, analyze learner and context, write performance objectives, develop assessment instruments, develop instructional strategy, develop and select instructional materials, design and conduct formative evaluation of instruction, and revises instruction. Data were analyzed descriptively. Results of the research are a learning model based on games comprehensively equipped with games tools and teachers' guide. The model was tested effectively can improve children's cognitive and socio-emotional abilities of 0.28% - 21.19%. Limitations of the study were the subject of research only on children in group B, only four centers and only in one kindergarten. Research suggests that if you want to improve Kindergarten children's cognitive and social-emotional abilities in systematically and effectively way then educators can use a comprehensive game-based learning model. Other recommendations from this research are the teacher's role cannot be replaced by using this model. Teachers have to learn game's comprehensive guidelines and tools as well as following the steps in the guide while trying to apply this learning model.
