  • Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya penggunaan metode pembelajaran di kelas terutama siswa kelas III dalam pembelajaran tematik guru masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran sederhana seperti metode ceramah dan penugasan. Dimana proses belajar pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru, dimana guru lebih banyak menjelaskan materi. Hal ini mengakibatkan siswa kurang aktif dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar, kurang aktif dalam artian siswa lebih banyak mendegarkan penjelasan sedangkan dalam pembelajaran tematik siswa dituntut lebih aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar, dalam proses pembelajaran siswa banyak yang mengobrol bersama teman sebangku dan pembelajaran menjadi membosankan.Beranjak dari latar belakang tersebut penulis mengadakan penelitian dengan tujuan penelitian yaitu: 1) Untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match pada tema pertumbuhan dan perkembangan makhluk hidup kelas III MIN 4 Kota Palangka Raya. 2) Untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match pada tema pertumbuhan dan perkembangan makhluk hidup kelas III MIN 4 Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif dengan pendekatan Desktiptif. Subyek penelitian adalah 1 orang guru wali kelas III, dan siswa kelas III. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian: 1) Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match pada tema pertumbuhan dan perkembangan makhluk hidup kelas III MIN 4 Kota Palangka Raya. Telah terlaksana sesuai dengan langkah-langkah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match sesuai dengan teori , 2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match pada tema pertumbuhan dan perkembangan makhluk hidup kelas III MIN 4 Kota Palangka Raya berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan indikator pencapaian aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa selama proses penerapan pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe make a match berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan indikator pencapaian aktivitas siswa dimana komunikasi siswa dan guru terjadi dengan sinkron/baik. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the lack of use of learning methods in class, especially the third grade students in the Tematik course, teachers still using simple learning methods such as speech and assignment methods. Where the learning process of learning is still centered on the teacher, that the teacher explains too much about the material. This results in students being less active in following the teaching and learning process, less active in the sense of students listening too much explanations while in Tematik course students are required to be more active in the teaching and learning process, in the learning process many students are chatting with their peers and learning becomes boring.From that background the researcher conducted research with the problem of study : 1) To describe the implementation of cooperative learning model make a match type in the topic of the growth and development of living things of grade III MIN 4 Palangka Raya. 2) To describe the activities of teacher and students during the process of implementation of cooperative learning model make a match type in the topic of the growth and development of living things of grade III MIN 4 Palangka Raya. This research use a qualitative method with descriptive approach. The subject of the study was a teacher and students in grade III. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study: 1) The implementation of cooperative learning model make a match type in the topic of the growth and development of living things of grade III MIN 4 Palangka Raya. It has been carried out in accordance with the steps of the make a match type cooperative learning model that appropriate with the theory, 2) The activities of teacher and students during the process of implementation of cooperative learning model make a match type in the topic of the growth and development of living things of grade III MIN 4 Palangka Raya is going well according to indicators of achievement of teacher activities, student activities during the process of applying cooperative learning models make a match type is going well according to indicators of achievement of student activities where student and teacher communication are going well.
