- Movie can be used as an educational media because it delivers some messages which will influence the thought of the audience and motivate them. This study focuses on the influence of the main character’s conflict toward the plot in ‘A Brilliant Young Mind’ movie. It aims to find out the plot elements, plot structure, and the influence of the main character’s conflict toward the plot. Then, the method used in this study is qualitative with textual analysis. The results of this study showed that the movie has five elements of plot and connected each other. For example, exposition, complication, climax, falling action and resolution. Then, the movie uses the flashback plot as the plot structure of the story. Finally, the main character experiences either internal or external conflicts influence the plot of the movie.
