- The title of this study is "The Students’ Strategies in Enriching Vocabulary". The purpose of this research is to recognize the strategies used by students of UIN ArRaniry English Department in enriching the vocabulary, and to identify problems faced by students in enriching vocabulary. The writer employed two techniques to collect data; questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaire was distributed to 21 participants and 8 of them participated as interviewees. Having conducted the data, the result revealed that the English students had and used some strategies involving; watching movies, listening music, memorizing from dictionaries, and memorizing English words. In the meantime, students’ response towards the strategies resulted in positive attitude as they responded that the strategies helped them to speak. Hence, it can be concluded that the using of strategies can improve students’ vocabulary skill.
