- With the study on 470 references of 55 source article in Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu Pendidikan (JPIP) between years of 2013-2015, this study aims 1) To determine the half-life literatures in the JPIP, 2) To determine the characteristics of the literatures cited in the JPIP, 3) To find out the availability of the cited literatures at the library of Faculty of Education, Yogyakarta State University. The result reveals that the half-life literaturesof JPIP at this stage is found to be about 7,56 years. The books are the top of literatures type cited in JPIP, which is 339 times or 72.12%. Journals and research reports are as many as 79 or 16.8%, while legislation amounted to 21 units or 4.46%. Conference papers 16 times, or 3.4%. Internet for 14 times, or 2.97%, and the dictionary which is 1 times or 0.21%. The oldest literature cited in the 1905, and the youngest was in 2015. Furthermore, a total of 283 citations, or 60.2% are provided in the library, while the remaining 187 citations, or 39.8% is not found.
