- Biofuels became very prospective when fossil fuels are less reliable for fulfilling the energy in all countries, including Indonesia. The biofuels position has motivated the authors performance in order foster the knowledge and pass it through reputable scientific publications. ScienceDirect is prestigious media to be revealed and serves to assess the achievements of national authors on the international arena. This study uses bibliometric diagnosis to know growth of articles, scientific collaboration, institutional container, and creative domestic areas. For eight years the performance of national authors on the topic of biofuels reached 170 articles. Majority of articles produced from essential national authors and the rest were couples. According to the main property, Indonesia articles published in 24 scientific journals. The articles are mostly designed more than four authors and institutions combined. Achievement domestic authors also influenced by cooperation with 22 countries spread in several regional. In this case, international collaboration initiated by Indonesia scored 31.48% and somewhat commensurate with developed countries. National authors affiliated with 72 institutions and dominated from Indonesia. Academics are the most productive institution type in Indonesia. Meanwhile, domestic achievement institutions are based in Java, mainly from the province of East Java, West Java and Banten.
