  • The focuses research of the evaluation of search engine quality based on retrieval and end user perception. The research uses quantitative method. This method uses recall and precision analysis, web qual theory and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The results of this research are as follows: (1) all respondent are familiar with Google and Yahoo, but only 36.60% respondents know search engine MSN; (2) the most relevant articles are found in Google, but irrelevant one are found in MSN; (3) the highest score of recall are found in Yahoo and of precision are found in Google; (4) there is a good user perception of higher education library; (5) ease of use and information quality affect significantly to Yahoo, but interaction quality doesn’t affect to Google and Yahoo.
