- This study aims to determine the information literacy level of users in IAIN Purwokerto library, based on The Seven Pillars. The study is using a descriptive quantitative approach, research population are active members at the library of IAIN Purwokerto. Sampling method using slovin’s formula with 10% sampling error, and samples taken 100 respondents. Method of collecting data is observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study show that the value of the seven pillars as follows: recognize information need is 2.97; distinguish way of addressing gap is 3,03; Information retrieval strategy (contruct strategies for locating) is 3.19; location and access (locate and access) is 2.79; compare and evaluate information (compare and evaluate) is 2,67; organize information, apply and communicate (organize, apply and communicate) is 2,93; synthesizes and creates new information and passes it (synthesis and create) is 2.06. The average value of the overall variable is 2,81. It can be conclude that information literacy of users in IAIN Purwokerto’s library can be categorized well.
