  • Time duration in the publication process has become a critical concern of readers since the scientific journalis placed as the most actual science media and demands publication speed. Due to the escape of attention, especially in Indonesia, this research began with the science of engineering and technological fields published inthe journal of ATOM and MEV in 2010-2017. Through bibliometrics, the publication history and bibliographicdata of the journal articles were analyzed with the mission of finding editor speed, publication lag, andpublication speed. The result, since 2013-2017 time consumption in the production of articles is increasing. This condition indicates that the right of readers to obtain a new science source can not be guaranteed by theauthor, peer-reviewer, editor, and journal authority. From the Pearson and Spearman correlation test, positiveand significant coefficients need to be watched as the cause of the spike in duration, i.e. citation, editor speed, and publication lag. Another result, the author’s collaboration has confirmed as an effective way of savingtime, in contrast to less favorable institutional collaboration. Indonesian authors should perform more withtime saving in order to improve quality of national journals and have opportunity to develop new manuscript. In fact, Indonesian journals will gain trust as a major publication in the field of engineering and technology.
