- The research describes the teachers’ techniques in teaching English for students with special needs at the fourth until the sixth grade in inclusive Elementary School Harapan Bunda Banjarmasin. In the class many students with impairment variants, and teachers must teach them like students normally. This research is conducted with two research questions. They are: what techniques do the teachers use in teaching English at inclusive class and how is the students response to the teachers’ techniques while teaching English. The subjects of the research are 20 students and 3 English teachers of the fourth until the sixth grade at inclusive Elementary School Harapan Bunda Banjarmasin. The object in this research are the techniques used by the teachers while teaching English. To collect the data, the writer uses some techniques such as observation, interview, and documentary. Data processing in this research is divided into three phases : editing, coding, and classifying. Then all the data are analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The result of this research shows that the teachers use reading aloud, repetition drill, using command, memorization, and sing a song. The school and the teacher also make special curriculum that more simple to teach at inclusive class. The application of the techniques are good techniques to students with special need, because teacher has done some step or activities for applying the techniques. This research also states that students have a positive response to the teacher techniques while teaching learning process.
