Keywords: Reading comprehension, paragraph writing ability Reading and writing are the important skills to be mastered in learning English. Both of reading and writing have relationship and influence to each other. Better students’mastery in reading comprehension, better their ability in writing paragraph. The problem formulation of this research are: How is the students’ achievement in reading comprehension, how is the students’ ability in writing paragraph, is there any significant correlation between students’ achievement in reading comprehension and their paragraph writing ability in the fourth semester at English Department of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin in academic year 2016/2017. This research design is correlational research of Pearson correlation. The population of this research is 160 students and the sample is 40 students chosen by voluntary sampling technique. To collect the data, the writer used test for both of the research variables. The result of this research explains that the students’ achievement in reading comprehension was in enough category with the mean score is 56.2 and the students’ ability in writing paragraph was in low category with the mean score is 50.5. The value of Pearson product moment (rxy) is 0,377 > 0,312 ( rxy > r table) which means there is correlation between students’ achievement in reading comprehension and their paragraph writing ability. The value of correlation is +0,377, it means there is a positive correlation with variables of X and Y is linear. The value of significant correlation at sig2 tailed is (0,016) < 0,05 which means that the correlation was significant. The conclusion of this research is Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, it means there is significant correlation between students’ achievement in reading comprehension and their paragraph writing ability in the fourth semester at English Department of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin in academic year 2016/2017. The writer hopes that this research gives some constributions to the process of teaching and learning English, especially for the English Department and for the lecturer and students in reading and writing class
