  • Islam in the Nusantara (Indonesia) region in fact has grown rapidly because of the local culture through a process of acculturation. Integration of Islamic thought has always adapted to the peculiarities of local culture. In this context, the call of Islam has always seen social-cultural environment with wisdom goggles, this adaptation is the ability of social intelligence, intellectual, and spiritual formerly owned by the scholars in charge of spreading the religion of Islam. Meanwhile, the evidence of art and culture of Islam Nusantara has been reflecting on how the teachings of Islam as a divine and religious institutions, propagated and disseminated in the archipelago. Socialization has been using peaceful means and utilizing the resources of local culture as a medium of effective communication. Key words: Acculturation, Islamic da'wa, local culture, and Islamic Indonesia.
