How is the listening ability of the students who do not join English Study Club at Darul Hijrah Islamic Boarding School for Female Martapura ? Is there any significant difference between the students who join and who do not join English Study club in their listening ability at Darul Hijrah Islamic Boarding School for Female Martapura ? The population of this research were the students of the seventh grade of Junior High School at darul Hijrah Islamic Boarding School for Female Martapura, which consisted of 294 Student from class A until M in academic year 2015/2016. Sample technique of this research is simple random sampling that will be taken 10.20% of population. The data are collected through observation, interview, test, and documentary. The data in this research are processed through editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, interprating, making conclusion and suggestion. The data are analyzed by using quantitative method. The result of this research states that the students’ achievement in Listening ability for the students who join English Study Club is in good category. The mean score is 89,2. The students’ achievement in Listening ability for the students who do not join English Study Club is in fair category. After consulting the data to table “t” it is known that there is significant difference in students’ listening ability between the students who join and who do not join English Study Club at Darul Hijrah Islamic Boarding School for Female Martapura”. The value of to is 2,76 that’s higher than the value in significance 5% that is 2,05. That is 2,67 > 2,05.
