The objective of this research is to find out types of diction are used in the advertisements of C’ n S’ Cool ‘n Smart English Teen magazines The subject of this research is advertisements in C’ n S’ Cool ‘n Smart English Teen Magazines. There are seven magazines. It was published in 2012 and 2013. The object of this research is types of diction that is used in advertisements especially in advertisement headlines. This research uses library research. The technique of collecting data is documentary. Data processing and analysis in this research are collecting, categorizing and analyzing. Based on the analysis, the writer concludes that there are three types of diction in C’ n S’ Cool ‘n Smart English Teen magazines which contain of dennotation (21 items), connotation (4 items), and slang (1 item).
