  • Annita Rahmaniati. 2015. The Techniques of Teaching English for Young Learners in Hartini’s Course Banjarmasin. Keywords: Techniques, English teaching, young learners This research describes about the techniques which are used in Hartini’s course Banjarmasin for teaching English for young learners and how the course applies those techniques. The problem formulation of this research are: what techniques that are used in teaching English for young learners and how to apply them at Hartini’s course Banjarmasin. The subject of this research are the leader of Hartini’s Course and five EFL class instructors of Hartini’s course. The object of this research is the techniques which are used to teach English for young learners in Hartini’s course and the application of those techniques. To collect the data, the writer uses some techniques such as observation, interview, and documentary. Data processing in this research is divided into three stages, they are editing, classifying, and data interpretation. Then all data are analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The result of the research denoted that there are 16 techniques that are used by the teachers in EFL class: short conversation, writing the starting and finishing the time of teaching and learning process, listening music, listen and repeat, point to each word, memorization, tracing, reading aloud, guessing picture, fill in the letters, fill in the blanks, self correction, defining words, point the matching picture, translation of literary passage, and reading comprehension questions.
