Keywords: Crossword Puzzles, Pictures, Vocabulary The problem formulation of this research are: How is the students’ ability of vocabulary in crossword puzzles with pictures of colors at fourth grade of state elementary school kampung baru 3 batulicin. The subject of this research is 79 students of the fourth grade in State Elementary School Kampung Baru 3 Batulicin 2014/2015 consists of26 students for IV A class, 27 students for IV B class, and26tudents for IV C class. The object of the research is ability of vocabulary incrossword puzzles with pictures of colors. The collecting of the data, the writer uses techniques such as observation, test, and documentary. Data processing in this resarch is determined into four phases: editing, coding, tabulating, and interpreting. Then, all the data are analyzed qualitatively. The result of this research states thatthe students’ ability of vocabulary in crossword puzzles with pictures of colorsis fair category because average of the test result is 63.54 and factors that influence student’s score is the students are spelling in vocabularyand they prefer and pleased something that use picture and game.
