Then, when get the data, the researcher chose quasi experimental research who need 4 meetings including pretest, treatment, and posttest for experiment class, 2 meetings including pretest and posttest for control class. This research is an Experiment research who conducted in SMPIslam Sabilal Muhtadin Banjarmasin , IX grade. Then, the researcher took 30 students from Experiment class, and 30 students from Control class.The instrument used to get the data is test who consisting 10 questions multiple choices. The finding showed that the mean score of the pretest of experimental class was 67,48 and 69,7 for control class. And the mean score of the posttest of experimental group was 78,25 and 72,9 for control group. With the help of SPSS 22, the researcher found t value of posttest was 2.07 which higher from critical value df 52. It means significant difference between students who are taught by free translation compared students who are taught without free translation in IX Grade SMP Islam Sabilal Muhtadin
