- This study was conducted to prove the hypothesis that curcumin could prevent the oxidative damage of rat liver mitochondria induced by t-BHP. The induction of 400 μM t-BHP reduced Gluthatione Reductase (GR) activity from (0,015±0,03) to (0,006±0,01) μmol/min/mg protein. Instillation of Curcumin of 60 μM could elevate GR activity to (0,016±0,002) μmol/min/mg protein.
