- ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mengetahui apakah kualitas penyuluh berpengaruh langsung terhadap pemahaman masyarakat tentang PHBS. (2) Untuk mengetahui apakah pendidikan berpengaruh langsung terhadap pemahaman masyarakat tentang PHBS. (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah kualitas penyuluh berpengaruh langsung terhadap peningkatan PHBS. (4) Untuk mengetahui apakah pendidikan berpengaruh langsung terhadap peningkatan PHBS. (5) Untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman masyarakat berpengaruh langsung terhadap peningkatan PHBS. (6) Untuk mengetahui apakah kualitas penyuluh berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap peningkatan PHBS melalui pemahaman masyarakat. (7) Untuk mengetahui apakah pendidikan berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap peningkatan PHBS melalui pemahaman masyarakat.Pendekatan penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 107 orang pasien di Puskesmas Caile Kabupaten Bulukumba. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yakni dengan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan analisis jalur dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kualitas penyuluh berpengaruh langsung secara positif dan signifikan terhadap pemahaman masyarakat tentang PHBS. (2) Pendidikan berpengaruh langsung secara positif dan signifikan terhadap pemahaman masyarakat tentang PHBS. (3) Kualitas penyuluh berpengaruh langsung secara positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan PHBS. (4) Pendidikan berpengaruh langsung secara positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan PHBS. (5) Pemahaman masyarakat berpengaruh langsung secara positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan PHBS. (6) Kualitas penyuluh berpengaruh tidak langsung secara positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap peningkatan PHBS melalui pemahaman masyarakat. (7) Pendidikan berpengaruh tidak langsung secara positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan PHBS melalui pemahaman masyarakat.Kata Kunci: Kualitas Penyuluh, Pendidikan, Pemahaman Masyarakat, Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat ABSTRACTThe objectives of this study are: (1) To find out whether the quality of instructors directly influences community understanding of PHBS. (2) To find out whether education has a direct effect on people's understanding of PHBS. (3) To find out whether the quality of instructors directly influences the increase in PHBS. (4) To find out whether education has a direct effect on increasing PHBS. (5) To find out whether community understanding directly influences the increase in PHBS. (6) To find out whether the quality of instructors indirectly affects the increase in PHBS through public understanding. (7) To find out whether education has an indirect effect on increasing PHBS through community understanding.This research approach with a quantitative approach. The sample used was as many as 107 patients in Caile Health Center, Bulukumba Regency. The research instrument used to obtain data is the questionnaire. Data analysis techniques to test hypotheses using path analysis with the help of SPSS for windows program.The results of this study indicate that: (1) The quality of extension workers has a positive and significant direct effect on people's understanding of PHBS. (2) Education has a positive and significant direct effect on people's understanding of PHBS. (3) The quality of instructors directly and positively and significantly influences the increase in PHBS. (4) Education has a positive and significant direct effect on increasing PHBS. (5) Community understanding has positive and significant direct effect on the increase in PHBS. (6) The quality of instructors positively influences indirectly but not significantly to the increase in PHBS through public understanding. (7) Education has an indirect and positive and significant effect on increasing PHBS through public understanding.Keywords: Quality of Extension, Education, Community Understanding, Clean and Healthy Behavior.
