  • "Many companies engaged in the industrial sector, especially the natural resource processing sector, may probably have a risk of undesirable things such as accidents in the workplace that could affect the company’s image and reputation to be disreputable. The role and involvement of internal and external stakeholders in manifesting company achievements can certainly be tools and also challenges for the company to be able to conform aims among these two parties interests. Fulfilling the needs and expectations to obtain positive attributions, indeed demand the capability of the role of public relations to identify the possible opportunities, thus leading the company into the gate of success. The implementation of internal communication through the role of public relations is one of the attempts to communicate the aims of the company’s business, contributing to satisfy the expectations of the company’s stakeholders. This research uses a descriptive case study research method with a qualitative research data type. Therefore, the data collection techniques carried out by the researcher are interviews and documentations. The interviewees in this research are several employees from PT Badak NGL with different levels of positions. The data analysis techniques used are pattern matching, explanation building, time-series analysis, and logic models. The results of this research indicate that PT Badak NGL has been undertaking the role in public relations management through the implementation of internal communication as an attempt to communicate the company's message to all employees regarding the aims of the company’s business by prioritizing the existence of stakeholders. The existence of the Indonesian government has affected the planning and implementation of communication programs carried out by companies as an obedience form to applicable business regulations in Indonesia. In addition, the existence of the independent accreditation agency called Det Norske Veritas has assisted PT Badak NGL in obtaining positive attributions or perspectives from LNG plant operators in various parts of the continents due to work safety management standardization and international awards received by PT Badak NGL."
