The purpose of this research was to know inhibition activity with water extract of dry Pluchea indica on Streptococcus dysgalactiae that caused mastitis in dairy cow. The materials used were Streptococcus dysgalactiae, extract of dry Pluchea indica and iodip. The methods was laboratory experiment used well diffusion method with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The variable observed was that inhibition zone of Streptococcus dysgalactiae growth. The result showed that the extract of dry Pluchea indica was different F (P<0.05), thus proceed with Duncans multiple range test analysis. The extract of dry Pluchea indica with between treatment 30% (P1) and 40% (P2) have not been able to keep up with iodip. However, the concentration of 50% (P3) was able to exceed iodip. The conclusion was the water extract of dry Pluchea indica are able to inhibit the growth of Streptococcus dysgalactiae. The water extract of Pluchea indica in 50% concentration can exceed iodip. Suggestion were using extract of Pluchea indica with concentration 50% for teat dipping and new easy method for application.
