- In the 2015 was approved simultaneous local election are written in law of the Republic Indonesia number 8 year 2015 on the election of governor, mayor, and regent.Simultaneous regional head election held in 249 localities throughout Indonesia, but there are three areas which now only has a single candidate: Blitar Regency, East Java; Tasikalaya Regency, West Java; and North Central Timor, East Nusa Tenggara. There is no different with two others regions, Blitar Regency also do the local head election with a single candidate. This research used a method of qualitative descriptive with in depth interview, observation, and documentation. Purposive sampling have chosen for editing data. The result of this research shows that simultaneous local election this time have been surprised by the emerge of single candidates in blitar regency caused by a big coalition political parties between PKB, PAN, PPP, PKS, Democratic party, Golkar and Hanura party agreed to postponed the election until 2017.This agreement started from thee disappointment towards the incumbent candidate which has signed the MoU with its coalition but in the other way it used the competitors, PDIP and Gerindra. So that the big coalition of PKB is not prepared to face the election 2015. According the supreme constitution decision No.100/PUU-XIII/2015 state that the areas with a single candidate in the local election 2015 are allowed. So, in the end Blitar regency only has a single candidate.
