- Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) adalah sarana temu kembali informasi berbasis teknologi informasi yang berjalan menggunakan internet. Sistem OPAC perlu dilihat karena suatu teknologi informasi dapat dikatakan baik apabila pengguna merasa puas dengan apa yang ditawarkan oleh teknologi informasi itu sendiri karena “Kepuasan pengguna akhir sistem informasi merupakan salah satu tolak ukur keberhasilan sistem informasi”.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kepuasan pengguna OPAC di perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung, sehingga hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan evaluasi bagi perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan OPAC. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Responden penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pengguna OPAC Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pengkodean, dan tabulasi, kemudian teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian tingkat kepuasan pengguna Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) di Perpustakaaan Universitas Ma Chung secara keseluruhan dapat dikatakan baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan berdasarkan enam indikator dengan beberapa item yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam mengukur tingkat kepuasan pengguna OPAC. Hasil perhitungan prosentase menunjukkan angka yang baik, walaupun ada salah satu item pada indikator akurasi (accuracy) dari OPAC yang menunjukkan angka kurang yaitu pengguna berasumsi bahwa OPAC masih sering mengalami error saat proses penelusuran. OPAC yang tersedia di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung memiliki kekurangan dari segi software maupun hardware. Software OPAC masih dapat mengalami kesalahan penelusuran atau error di tengah proses pencarian, kemudian dari segi hardware, komputer yang digunakan untuk menjalankan OPAC terkadang mengalami “hang” atau macet. Kendala yang ditemukan dalam pemanfaatan OPAC di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung oleh pengguna yaitu aplikasi OPAC sendiri belum dapat dikatakan sempurna untuk dioperasikan karena masih mengalami kesalahan penelusuran, serta ada pengguna OPAC yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang atau belum mahir dalam memanfaatkan OPAC untuk menelusur informasi koleksi perpustakaan.Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is a means of information retrieval based on information technology that runs using internet. OPAC system is needed to be known, because an information technology can be called as good system if the user is satisfied with what is offered by the technology itself by reason of "End-user satisfaction against the information system is a measure of the success of information systems”. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the OPAC users satisfaction at the Library of Ma Chung University, so that the results of this study could be used as the basis of evaluation for the Library of Ma Chung University to enhance and improve the quality of OPAC. This research used descriptive method with quantitative approach. Respondents of this study were students as users of OPAC at Library of Ma Chung University. Data collection was done through questionnaire, interview, documentation, and observation. The data processing was done in three stages: preparation, coding and tabulating, then the data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. The result of the study level of OPAC users satisfaction at the Library of Ma Chung University as a whole could be said good. It was shown based on six indicators consisted of several items which were used by the researcher to measure the level of OPAC users satisfaction. The result of percentage calculation shown good numbers, although there was one item on the indicator about accuracy of OPAC that showed less numbers that was users assumed that OPAC still had error during the retrieval process. OPAC that was provided at the Library of Ma Chung University in terms of both hardware and software were still considered unfavorable. The software of OPAC still had error during the retrieval process, then in terms of hardware, the computers used to run OPAC sometimes there were "hang". There were some obtacles on the utilization of OPAC at the Library of Ma Chung University by users, they were the OPAC application itself could not be said perfect yet to operate, and there were some users who had less knowledge related to utilization of OPAC for searching information of library collection.
