- The conservation area play very important role in supporting community life due to they have real and intrinsic value, such as ecology, economic, social. As a consequent, it requires a proper management which emphasize decentralized one and community involvement. The common problem often come across in conservation areas among other things: double standard in government policy, weaknesses in law enforcement, excescively institutional interest, lack of conservation content in prominent regulation dealing with natural resources management. The optional recommendations are proposed for overcoming the problem namely: community involevement in managing conservation areas, redrafting regulation that accommodate conservative value, tickly law enforcement, finaly reorganization and revitalization of existing institution concerning with natural resources conservation. Key words : conservation, descentralization, lawa enforcement, community involvement.
