- ABSTRACT In this study, the authors take the title of "Implementation of Regional Regulation No. 17 of 2015 on the Implementation of Protection of Women and Children In Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan Province". This research is intended to know the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 17 of 2015 on the Implementation of Protection of Women and Children, the constraining factors in the implementation of the protection of women and children and the efforts made by the Government of Nunukan Regency in overcoming the problem of protecting women and children. The theory used in this research was the implementation theory proposed by Van Meter and Van Horn. This research used descriptive qualitative method with inductive approach. The data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Based on the conducted research, the author concludes that the implementation process of local regulations regarding the implementation of the protection of women and children in Nunukan District has not run maximally due to geographical conditions that less supportive, lack of facilities and infrastructure, adequate human resources, minimal funding and lack of community on the regional regulations for the protection of women and children. The effort that undertaken by DP3AP2KB were increasing coordination, building social networks, budget advocacy, involving the participation of all sides, carrying the Children's Eligible District and optimizing services.
