- Salah satu wilayah yang mempunyai jumlah pulau-pulau kecil dengan potensi yang cukup kaya adalah Perairan Teluk Tomini. Kabupaten Pohuwato, Provinsi Gorontalo merupakan salahsatu wilayah yang termasuk dalam wilayah Perairan Teluk Tomini. Monitoring sumberdaya terumbu karang dilakukan dengan cara pemetaan neraca, yang pada dasarnya adalah memetakan kondisi awal dan akhir sehingga diketahui tingkat degradasi atau perubahannya. Pemetaan neraca ini dilakukan dengan analisa berdasarkan hasil interpretasi citra satelit menggunakan data 2 waktu (time series) yaitu Citra Landsat tahun 2000 dan Citra ALOS AVNIR 1-B tahun 2007 dengan cek lapangan tahun 2008. Berdasarkan degradasi sumberdaya terumbu karang maka prediksi nilai ekonominya dapat diproyeksikan. Nilai ekonomi yang digunakan adalah Total Economic Value (TEV). Berdasarkan analisa neraca maka dapat dilihat perubahan yang terjadi selama 8 tahun yaitu karang seluas 1.615,91 ha tidak mengalami perubahan, 396,65 ha berubah menjadi lamun, dan 185,23 ha berubah menjadi pasir. Sedangkan nilai ekonomi total dari ekosistem terumbu karang di wilayah Kabupaten Pohuwato sebesar Rp 164.217.923,33/ha/tahun.Kata kunci: Terumbu Karang, Neraca Sumberdaya Alam, Degradasi, Nilai Ekonomi ABSTRACTOne of regions that has a number of small islands with a rich enough potential is Tomini Bay. Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province is one of the areas included in the Tomini Bay. Coral reef resources monitoring was held by mapping the balance sheet, which is basically to map the beginning and end of the condition to know the degradation rates or changes of the coral reef. Mapping the balance sheet based on analysis of satellite imagery interpretation results using two time data (time series), e.i. the year 2000 Landsat image and the image of ALOS AVNIR 1-B in the year 2007 with a field check in 2008. Based on the degradation of coral reef resources, the prediction of the economic value can be projected. Economic value used in this research is the Total Economic Value (TEV). Based on the analysis, the changes that occur during the 8 years are, an area of 1615.91 ha coral reef has not changed, changed to 396.65 ha seagrass, and 185.23 ha turned into sand.
