  • This study aimed to assess prices, processed products and marketing channels used in freshwater fish marketing in Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra Province on Mei until November 2017. The types of data collected are secondary data covering literature studies and primary data by conducting surveys and direct interviews with traders in the market. The results showed that the selling price of freshwater fish in Ogan Ilir District are varied and fluctuated, this is caused by the harvesting season of various types of freshwater fish. The selling price of freshwater fish in Ogan Ilir ranges from 20.000,00 to 50.000,00 IDR per kg. The marketing channel of freshwater fish is classified as a simple marketing channel consisting of 3 (three) trading chains and involves fish farmer, collectors, retailers and consumers. The producers of fishery products involve home industries located in Ogan Ilir district. Processed and dried products produced include fish crackers, smoked fish, salted fish, dried tekwan, pempek and others.
