It pervades daily life. Efforts to combat corruption are not simple. This paper begins with a general overview of corruption in Indonesia. The second part, presents a more detailed look at the current state of corruption. Third, examine the present governing institutions such as the courts, police, political parties, and legislative bodies. The findings show that these institutions have been of very little use in combating corruption. Finally, we will focus on efforts to combat corruption from sociology of law perspective. Any efforts to combat corruption should encourage deep structural and cultural change, as well as address symptomatic problems.
